The Copenhagen based classical guitarist, Mikkel Andersen, will present works by J.S. Bach and poetic music from Spain and South America.

The Poetry of the Guitar

Classical Guitarist Mikkel Andersen will be presenting wonderful music by Johann Sebastian Bach and works from Spain and South America. “The poetry in the music is central to me. It has the power to open the hearts of the listeners, stirring their emotions .”, Mikkel Andersen states, “This is my priority when I choose the works for a tour or a concert”.

Canada Tour 2024

The performance is a part of Mikkel Andersen’s 2024 Canada tour. He will perform a number of concerts in Montreal, Whitehorse, Yukon and Vancouver. This time with music that will appear on his coming CD.

Guitarist and Mentor

Mikkel Andersen has travelled worldwide giving concerts as a classical soloist and chamber musician. He has released 3 solo Cds, plays in several ensembles and has contributed to a series of recordings in Denmark and abroad.

Mikkel is also artistic director of the Copehagen Guitar School – Casa de la Guitarra - which offers tuition in Spanish classical guitar. Mikkel is a teacher and mentor for a more than 40 students.
